Creating a fully functional cloud services broker using ManageIQ

Booz Allen’s open cloud broker solution is built on ManageIQ, making it agnostic to infrastructure technology and platform choices. This solution enables cloud consumers to select, provision, and manage on-premise and off-premise Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) resources, Platform as a Service (PaaS), and ultimately Software as a Service (SaaS) products. Built on ManageIQ, Booz Allen’s cloud broker solution is an open source, unified cloud computing platform that spans the entire order processing life cycle – order selection, approval, delivery and management – offering a Orbitz-like user experience. It consists of a portal or storefront (Drupal Commerce), orchestration engine (Red Hat JBoss jBPM and Fuse ESB), and cloud gateway (ManageIQ) that enables enhanced self-service of cloud services on demand.

Booz Allen will discuss the overall design selection process, architecture and implementation considerations, and real-life use cases and challenges associated with creating a fully functional cloud services broker using ManageIQ.
